I finished this yesterday but my internet crashed :s Getting a better hang on realism, yay! Gotta work on hair, though (probably noses, too, since I redid hers about four times).
Anyway, I really wanted to draw Anne-Sophie after finishing OHSHC. She’s really beautiful. I should get to reading it now to know more about her.
On today’s episode of “I Can’t Believe How Long That Took”…
Really, though, I’m quite proud of this! Even though there’s still much to improve (like the hair and background), I don’t think I’ve ever created something so realistic. This is the lovely Audrey Hepburn (even though the reference was from the Galaxy ad here). I used the reference for a general sketch and for checking the eye/lip placement, but otherwise, the rest is from observation.
Also, glitter is so fun to paint! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
I was going to do Kaoru too but then I realized I didn’t flip my drawing as I sketched it and the face looks very distorted and ugh why did I forget that
anyway, this is Hikaru (because of how his hair is parted - no, I can’t tell them apart otherwise) and the reference I used is here!
Well, then, here’s my final project, for anyone interested. (Avaliable in up to 1080p, and yes, it’s YouTube).
Timed value study: I stopped at 40 minutes. Trying to practice big brush strokes and getting the bigger picture over details.
I really need to refine my figure drawing if I want to do this professionally…but hey, it’s definitely better than I expected it to be!
I finished the project, by the way, and as a result, my teacher challenged me to 3D animation. I don’t get the connection, either, but I took on his challenge!
so remember that project I keep talking about
I’m halfway done but as a result of a month’s work so now I need the other half…for tomorrow…so…yeah
I can’t believe my computer’s actually handling Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audacity and Google Chrome. anyway just a lot of pressure atm just
I watched myself suddenly jump from “it’s okay to reference artists” to “this is way too heavily referenced”
I was supposed to draw some of my friends for a project that’s supposed to explain my life but I don’t like this?? like I really don’t want to present this to the class because inconsistency and quality?? but yeah I don’t think I’m doing anything with these
A simple walking cycle for a digital video project! I used this tutorial. It’s simple, but I’m fairly proud. This project is going to look pretty cool.
I don’t think I’m progressing any further on this, so here’s an airport/mountain/scene thing.
I’m actually really proud of how I managed mountains, even if it was from a tutorial. Took me a long time to get the brush strokes I wanted.
It’s also the correct size for Mac wallpapers (for the largest resolution), in case anyone wants to use it, as well.
Also, got to use the golden mean for this one - thought I’d mention that since it’s a bit hard to tell.
And my lineless 2014 stuff so far! Still not too comfortable posting up my attempts at semi realism, but here’s what I have so far.
The first one’s a wallpaper I made for myself (yes, it’s Hans and Anna from Frozen), the second a very badly drawn interpretation of Puck from a Midsummer Night’s Dream, then random practice. I really do love lineless art.
